Your Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join Vitaco’s Operations team in a leadership role that directly impacts our manufacturing and production capabilities. As Vitaco continues to grow, we are investing in capital projects to enhance efficiency, innovation, and long-term operational success.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Capital Project Engineering Manager to lead and manage Vitaco’s capital investment projects, ensuring strategic development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions. Reporting to the GM Operations, this role will oversee projects from feasibility through to execution, working with internal teams and external contractors to deliver world-class manufacturing outcomes.

The Role

This role will lead and support all engineering aspects of Operational Capital Investment Projects, from feasibility through to start-up for new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems. It will also cover scoping and design, financial assessment, and project handover/support, ensuring the successful execution of capital investment projects that align with Vitaco’s business objectives.

What You’ll Do

As Capital Project Engineering Manager , you will be responsible for leading Vitaco’s capital investment projects and driving operational efficiency through:

• Leading a small group of talented Project Engineers to deliver capital projects across operations
• Developing and executing long-term strategic capital investment plans, aligned with Vitaco’s business objectives
• Scoping, designing, and costing operational capital investment projects for approval
• Managing projects from feasibility to implementation, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to budget
• Leading all engineering aspects of capital investment projects, from feasibility through to execution, including new equipment, processes, procedures, and system improvements
• Overseeing installation and commissioning of capital projects while minimizing disruption to operations
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Building strong relationships across the business and externally to facilitate effective project execution
• Managing contractors to ensure high standards of work and cost control
• Driving a strong culture of workplace health and safety awareness, ensuring all projects meet regulatory and compliance standards

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 10+ years of experience in food and/or supplement manufacturing processes and equipment
• 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in capital investment projects
• Proven manufacturing design, installation, and commissioning experience
• Strong financial and budgeting skills, with experience in contract negotiation and expense management
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry
• A strong track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and to budget
