Customer Shopper Marketing Executive (12-Month Fixed Term)

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Customer Shopper Marketing Executive to join our Grocery team on a 12-month parental leave contract. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead shopper and customer activations across the Grocery and Mass channels.
Reporting to the Head of Sales – Grocery NZ, you’ll work closely with our Key Account Managers, Brand, and Category teams to plan and execute campaigns that bring our brands to life in-store and beyond.
This role is based in our East Tamaki office.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Delivering best-in-class shopper campaigns that connect brand and shopper strategy across national, banner, and store-level executions
- Leading impactful in-store activations including sampling programs, PLRs, expos, and trade events that engage shoppers and drive conversion
- Managing the Grocery A&P budget, partnering with the sales team to optimise ROI and support commercial outcomes
- Owning the creative process—from writing briefs to managing retailer agency output—ensuring POS materials are aligned, on-brand, and effective
- Driving strong cross-functional collaboration across internal teams and external partners, including key accounts like Woolworths, Foodstuffs, and The Warehouse
What You’ll Bring
- At least six years’ experience in shopper marketing, trade marketing, or customer roles within FMCG
- Proven project management skills with the ability to engage and influence sales teams and stakeholders
- Experience managing budgets and shopper activations, ideally working alongside field sales teams
- Proficiency in shopper data tools such as Aztec, Quantium, and DHBY, alongside strong MS Office skills
- A Bachelor of Commerce, in Marketing or Communications, is desirable along with a flair for creative thinking and data-led strategy
- A collaborative, energetic approach with excellent communication, design and organisational skills
