Role overview:

Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you’ll ensure Vitaco’s Quality Management System (QMS) meets legislative, internal and customer requirements. This fixed-term role leads product release, critical documentation and MPI eligibility documents across foods, dietary supplements and listed medicines.

You’ll drive QA across in-house manufacturing, influence stakeholders, and lift capability to support Vitaco’s growth in New Zealand and internationally.

This is a 12-month fixed term role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and embed Vitaco’s quality culture across the business
  • Ensure compliance and support management of RMPs, FCPs and GMP
  • Provide quality/compliance guidance on operational, regulatory and QMS documentation
  • Approve product release for sale
  • Maintain current SOPs, specifications, and manufacturing/packing documentation
  • Manage key quality systems: eligibility documents for MPI, change controls/deviations, and incident investigations

Qualifications and attributes required:

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science, GMP or similar
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience in food, supplements or a related industry
  • Proven QA/QMS leadership in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience across RMPs, FCPs and GMP, including HACCP
  • Working knowledge of Official Assurance Specifications and MPI e-cert
  • Strong auditing, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement capability with solid analytical/Excel skills
