QC - Analytical Team Leader - Afternoon Shift


Your Opportunity

Vitaco is seeking an experienced Analytical Team Leader – Afternoon Shift for its Quality Control division. This key leadership role manages analytical testing, ensures timely material and product release, and maintains compliance with GLP, GMP, and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Analytical Team Leader – Day Shift, Quality Control Manager, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure laboratory performance, meet production schedules, and drive continuous improvement in analytical procedures. This is a great opportunity for a technically skilled professional who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced environment and balances people management with analytical expertise.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and support a team of Laboratory Analysts to meet production and release timelines
  • Oversee analytical testing, stability programs, and material release
  • Drive compliance with GLP, NZ GMP and PIC/S requirements
  • Lead OOS investigations, method development, validation and troubleshooting
  • Partner closely with QC, QA, NPD and Operations to support business priorities

What you’ll bring

  • BSc in Chemistry (or related discipline)
  • 6+ years’ experience in a GMP laboratory environment
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with HPLC and dissolution
  • Proven people leadership experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset with high attention to detail
