Quality Assurance Specialist (6-Month, Fixed-Term)


Opportunity

We’re excited to offer a 6-Month Fixed Term opportunity for a Quality Assurance Specialist to become part of our passionate QA team. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with both production and quality control teams, ensuring our Quality Management Systems are upheld and that we deliver on the promises we make to our customers and consumers.

What You’ll Do

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:

  • Release and Check Product Quality: Ensure finished products meet all specifications by verifying compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and regulatory requirements, and performing in-process checks throughout manufacturing and packing.
  • Investigate and Solve Quality Issues: Lead investigations into customer complaints and product problems, find root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent them from happening again.
  • Drive Improvement & Compliance: Plan and conduct internal audits, support continuous improvement projects, follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and manage documentation and sample retention, including manufacturing/packing records and export documents.
  • Train & Collaborate: Deliver quality training to production teams, help launch new products, guide on GMP and regulatory requirements, and work closely with teams across production, quality control, logistics, planning, and customer feedback to resolve quality issues and support business goals.
  • Promote a Quality Culture: Act as a role model for quality, safety, and Vitaco’s values, helping create a positive, high-performing team environment.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following:

  • Minimum experience of 2+ years in Quality Assurance – GMP environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • An ability to multi-task and contribute as a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A tertiary qualification in science, food technology or other relevant field
  • Advanced computer literacy, (Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel)
