This role is pivotal in supporting our laboratory operations by ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), internal SOPs, and relevant regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Quality Control Analysts and many of our Operations teams to ensure responsibilities are executed timely, with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and efficiency. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone who is content with being an assistant for the long term, without seeking rapid development or frequent job changes.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Receiving, processing, and conducting physical and organoleptic testing on bulk product samples
  • Preparing and sending samples (including raw materials, bulks, microbiological swabs and stability samples) to external contract laboratories
  • Conducting microbiological environmental monitoring (swabbing and plating), water sampling, and some basic analytical tests
  • Initiating and performing stability testing
  • Performing health and safety laboratory checks
  • Supporting the laboratory’s stock management by monitoring and reordering
  • Assisting with documentation, maintaining sample and result records
  • Participating in routine equipment calibration and housekeeping to ensure GLP compliance
  • Supporting the onboarding and training of new team members as required

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • A Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification (essential)
  • At least 1–2 years’ experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with physical testing (e.g. weight variation, disintegration, friability) and sensory assessments
  • A sound understanding of GLP and laboratory safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing precise, reliable data
  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • A passion for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement

What We Offer:

  • A collaborative team culture committed to safety, quality, and excellence
  • A dynamic and varied laboratory role supporting multiple business functions
