Safety & Sustainability Coordinator
The Role:
Reporting to the Safety & Sustainability Manager the Safety & Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for providing advice and support to the Vitaco business on health and safety, sustainability, and employee well-being initiatives.
As the Safety & Sustainability Coordinator, you will conduct research, collect insights, and support the planning and implementation of related projects. You will also support reviewing existing policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending changes to ensure they align with current best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to first level enquiries from team members and managers in relation to Health & Safety and injury management
- Ensure H&S and Sustainability matters are proactively addressed during hiring and on-boarding
- Prepare data and insights for H&S and Sustainability reports
- Provide assistance/training for managers and employees on H&S system usage.
- Prepare draft content for internal and external communication on sustainability initiatives.
- Support the coordination and delivery of P&C, H&S and wellbeing initiatives.
What you will bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Safety and/or Sustainability coordination position
- 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Tertiary level qualification in HR, Safety or Sustainability
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety and sustainability strategies and practices
- Excellent skills in Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen eye for attention to detail
- Understanding of, and ability to apply, H&S legislation and case law in an ANZ context
- Experience using an HRIS or Safety database/software
