Your Opportunity

Vitaco is an exciting and fast-paced company where no two days are the same! We have a rare opportunity for a well-rounded, talented corporate and commercial lawyer to join our fun, high-performing in-house team in this key business partnering role.

Reporting to the President – Chief Commercial Officer and working with an experienced Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing and addressing a wide range of legal issues, from contracts and corporate governance to IP and disputes. You will provide constructive advice on a broad range of commercial legal issues, including intellectual property, privacy, distributor agreements, customer terms, mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and supplier agreements.

This role mitigates commercial risk, including financial liability and reputational risk for Vitaco, and will partner with Vitaco’s external support lawyers on various legal issues, ensuring the approach is consistent with our strategy. A high level of legal knowledge and expertise will be required, in tandem with commercial acumen and people leadership skills.

Ideally, we are seeking a senior lawyer with 6+ years of Post-Qualifying Experience, and ANZ/international exposure is an advantage. A New Zealand Practicing Certificate is required. Preferably, you will have a background in commercial and/or corporate law with sound analytical, contract drafting, and negotiation skills. You will be approachable and resourceful, demonstrate sound judgment and initiative, and be able to confidently engage, lead, and partner with various areas of the business and external partners. You will display a high level of professionalism and integrity.
